Welcome to GoXtra
GoXtra is a community for people who want to meet real hobby buddies, share experiences, and do more of what they love together. These Community Guidelines exist so every member feels safe, respected, and welcome — online and when meeting in person.
By using GoXtra you agree to follow these Guidelines. Breaking them can result in your content being removed, your account being suspended, or a permanent ban. These Guidelines work alongside our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
1. Who Can Use GoXtra
GoXtra is for adults only. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use the Services. Accounts belonging to anyone under 18 will be removed as soon as we become aware of them, and serious cases will be reported to the appropriate authorities as required by law.
If you believe a user may be under 18, please report their profile using the in-app Report button. Your report is confidential.
2. Be Authentic
- Use your real name and a recent photo of yourself.
- Don't impersonate other people, brands, or public figures.
- Don't use misleading, heavily edited, or AI-generated profile photos that misrepresent how you look.
- One person, one account. Don't create multiple accounts to evade bans or manipulate the community.
3. Be Respectful
GoXtra has zero tolerance for:
- Harassment, bullying, or targeted attacks against individuals or groups
- Hate speech, slurs, or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, or any other protected characteristic
- Threats of violence or encouragement of harm toward others
- Doxxing — sharing someone's personal information (address, phone, workplace, etc.) without consent
Disagreements happen. Keep them civil. Attack ideas, not people.
4. Keep It Safe
The following content is not allowed on GoXtra, ever:
- Sexually explicit content — nudity, pornography, or sexual solicitation.
- Content involving minors in any unsafe, suggestive, or exploitative context. Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) results in an immediate permanent ban and is reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and to law enforcement.
- Non-consensual intimate imagery — sharing private sexual or nude images of any person without their explicit consent ("revenge porn") is prohibited and may be a criminal offence in many jurisdictions.
- Human trafficking, sexual exploitation, and commercial sexual services — promotion, solicitation, or facilitation of any of these is strictly prohibited.
- Graphic violence or gore.
- Promotion of self-harm, suicide, or eating disorders.
- Illegal activity — drugs, weapons sales, or any other activity illegal where you or the recipient live.
- Dangerous organizations — terrorist groups, organized hate movements, or criminal organizations.
5. Respect Consent — Online and In Person
GoXtra is built around meeting new people offline. That comes with responsibility:
- Take time to chat in-app before meeting. Exchange voice or video messages to build trust and help confirm who you are talking to.
- Tell a friend or family member where you're going, who you're meeting, and when you expect to be back.
- Meet somewhere public and well-lit the first time. Arrange your own transport to and from the meeting.
- Trust your instincts — if something feels off, leave. You never owe anyone an explanation.
- Respect "no." A single "no" or "not interested" is a full sentence.
- Don't pressure anyone into meeting, sharing photos, sharing contact info, or anything else.
- Don't share screenshots, photos, or messages from other users without their permission.
- If someone tells you they're uncomfortable, stop.
Your conduct toward other members outside the app — on dates, on other platforms, or anywhere else — can also lead to action against your GoXtra account if we are made aware of it and can reasonably verify it.
6. No Spam, Scams, or Commercial Misuse
- No unsolicited promotions, advertising, or affiliate links.
- No fake giveaways, phishing, cryptocurrency scams, or investment pitches.
- No fake events created to harvest contacts, collect money, or redirect people off-platform.
- Don't use GoXtra to recruit for multi-level marketing schemes or unsolicited paid services.
- Never send money or financial information to people you meet on GoXtra, and never ask another user for money, gift cards, or cryptocurrency. Requests like these are the #1 sign of a romance scam — report them immediately.
7. Automated Behavior
GoXtra is a place for real people to meet real people. Do not:
- Use bots, scripts, scrapers, or any automated tools to access the Services, send messages, or collect data about users.
- Artificially manipulate likes, connections, matches, or other engagement metrics.
- Mass-message users, whether manually or through automation.
- Resell or redistribute content or data obtained from the Services.
8. Intellectual Property
Only post photos, videos, text, and other content that you own or have permission to share. Don't post copyrighted material that belongs to someone else. Respect trademarks, and don't use GoXtra's branding in a way that suggests an affiliation we haven't agreed to.
9. Protect Other Users' Privacy
Treat other users' information as private by default:
- Don't share someone's location, contact details, or identity off-platform without their consent.
- Don't forward private messages outside the app.
- Don't take screenshots of other users' profiles to share elsewhere with intent to harass or expose them.
10. Content You Post
You are responsible for the events you create, the photos you upload, and the messages you send. Before posting, ask yourself: Would I be okay seeing this on a friend's profile? Would the people in this photo be okay with it?
We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Guidelines or our Terms of Service.
11. Reporting, Blocking, and Verification
We rely on you to help keep GoXtra safe.
- Report any profile, event, message, or photo that breaks these Guidelines using the in-app Report button.
- Block any user you no longer want to interact with — they won't be able to message you or see your profile.
- Reports are confidential. The person you report will not be told who reported them.
- Photo verification: GoXtra supports photo verification to help confirm a profile belongs to a real person. We encourage every member to get verified. Unverified accounts may have reduced visibility, and some features may be limited.
Our response commitment: We review reports and act on violations — including removing content and, where appropriate, suspending or banning the offending account — within 24 hours.
Do not abuse the report system. Filing bad-faith or mass-automated reports is itself a violation.
12. Safety Resources
If you or someone you know is in crisis, please reach out to local emergency or support services — they can help in ways we cannot.
- Suicide or mental-health crisis: search "[your country] crisis helpline" or dial your local emergency number. In many EU countries, dialling 112 will connect you to emergency services.
- Domestic violence or intimate-partner abuse: the Women Against Violence Europe (WAVE) network lists national helplines across Europe.
- Missing, exploited, or at-risk children: contact your national child-protection authority, or in the EU dial 116 000 for the European hotline for missing children.
- Fraud or online scams: report to your national cybercrime unit or consumer-protection authority.
- GoXtra-specific concerns: use Settings → Help & Support inside the app, or email [email protected].
13. Cooperation with Law Enforcement
We cooperate with valid legal requests from law-enforcement and regulatory authorities. We may voluntarily report to authorities any content or conduct we reasonably believe involves child sexual abuse material (CSAM), credible threats of violence, human trafficking, terrorism, or other serious harm. Where required by law, we will preserve and disclose account information in response to lawful requests.
14. Consequences of Violations
Depending on severity and history, violations can lead to:
- Warning — for minor, first-time issues.
- Content removal — the offending post, message, or photo is taken down.
- Temporary suspension — loss of account access for a period of time.
- Permanent ban — account closure and a ban on creating new accounts.
When we remove content or take action against an account, we will notify the affected user with a clear reason, referencing the Guideline that was violated and indicating whether automated tools were used in the decision, as required by Article 17 of the EU Digital Services Act.
Severe violations (CSAM, credible threats of violence, coordinated harm, trafficking, large-scale fraud) result in an immediate permanent ban with no prior warning. We cooperate with law enforcement where required by law.
Ban evasion — creating a new account after being banned — is itself a permanent-ban offence.
15. Appeals
If you believe your content was removed or your account was actioned in error, you can appeal. Email [email protected] with:
- The username or email on the account
- A description of what happened
- Why you believe the action was incorrect
You have at least six months from the date of our decision to submit an appeal. We aim to review appeals within 5 business days. Users in the European Union also have the right to use out-of-court dispute settlement bodies certified under Article 21 of the EU Digital Services Act.
16. Changes to These Guidelines
We may update these Community Guidelines as GoXtra grows and as new issues emerge. When we make meaningful changes, we will notify you in-app or by email and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of GoXtra after an update means you accept the new Guidelines.
