1. What Information Do We Collect?

Personal Information You Disclose to Us

In Short: We collect personal information that you provide to us.

We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you register on the Services, express an interest in obtaining information about us or our products and Services, when you participate in activities on the Services, or otherwise when you contact us.

To create an account we need an email address (or Apple or Google sign-in), your name, a username, your date of birth (to confirm you are 18 or over) and at least one sport. Everything else is optional; without it some features will not work.

The personal information we collect may include: names, usernames, email addresses, passwords, phone numbers (only if you choose to verify your account by phone), date of birth, gender, profile photos and background images, short bio, listed hobbies and interests, and contact or authentication data.

Sensitive Information. We may process limited sensitive information, such as precise geolocation (when enabled), health and fitness data you choose to connect from Apple Health, Health Connect or Garmin Connect (when enabled), facial images from optional identity-verification selfies (biometric data, only if you choose to verify your account), and account access credentials, where necessary to provide and protect the Services and only with your consent. We do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you, and we do not use health or fitness data for advertising or marketing.

Identity Verification (Biometric Data)

In Short: If you choose to verify your profile, we collect selfies as biometric data, with your consent, only to confirm you are a real person, and we delete them within 30 days of review.

Photo verification is optional. If you choose it, we ask for a few selfies, check that they show a live person, and our team compares them with the face photo on your profile to confirm you are real and not impersonating someone. A quality check may be run by our processor Anthropic (see Section 4); the decision is always made by our team. These selfies are biometric data. We process them only with your explicit consent, given before capture, and only for verification; we never sell them or use them for advertising. We delete the selfies within 30 days of the decision and keep only the outcome, which contains no biometric data.

Launch Waitlist

If you join our launch waitlist on this website, we collect the email address you submit, the country you select and the phone you use (iPhone or Android). We also keep a record of when and how you signed up and the consent text you saw. We use this information only to send you one email when GoXtra becomes available in your country. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. We delete your details 30 days after that email, or after 2 years if GoXtra has not launched in your country by then. You can unsubscribe at any time with the link in the email, or by contacting us.

Payment Data

We may collect data necessary to process your payment if you choose to make purchases. All payment data is handled and stored by Apple App Store (Apple Inc.), Google Play (Google LLC), and RevenueCat. Payments are processed by Apple App Store and Google Play billing systems, with subscription management through RevenueCat. We do not store full payment card details on our servers.

Events and Routes

Saved routes. Routes you save to My routes are visible only to you. A route attached to an event is visible to everyone who can see the event, and they can save a copy. We keep saved routes until you delete them or your account; copies others saved from your events are deleted when they delete them or you delete your account (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). Routes saved from other people's activities are covered in the Apple Health and Health Connect section.

Event attendance and payment notes. Before an event you can confirm you are still going; only you, the organiser and the hosting community's admins can see it. For events with a fee you pay the organiser directly, outside GoXtra, the organiser and those admins can privately mark you as paid; we never store amounts or payment details, and the mark is not shown to you or other participants (you can ask us for a copy). We process both on the basis of legitimate interests (helping organisers run their events) and delete them when you leave the event, the event is deleted, or you delete your account.

Social Media Login Data

We provide you with the option to register and sign in using your Apple ID (Sign in with Apple) or your Google account (Sign in with Google). If you choose to register in this way, we will collect certain profile information about you from the relevant provider, as described in section 6 below.

Application Data

If you use our application(s), we also may collect the following information if you choose to provide us with access or permission:

  • Geolocation Information. With your device permission, we access and process precise location data (such as GPS-level latitude/longitude) to power location-based features, matching, and distance calculations. Other members only ever see an approximate area, never your exact position, unless you share a location yourself, for example in a chat message or on an event.
  • Health & Fitness Data. If you connect Apple Health, Health Connect or Garmin Connect, we receive your completed workouts. See the dedicated sections below.
  • Mobile Device Access. We may request access to your device's microphone, camera, storage, and other features. If you use Add to calendar, your phone's own calendar app saves the event; GoXtra does not read your calendar.
  • Push Notifications. We may request to send you push notifications regarding your account or certain features of the application(s).

Information Automatically Collected

In Short: Some information — such as your IP address and browser and device characteristics — is collected automatically when you visit our Services.

We automatically collect certain information when you visit, use, or navigate the Services, including device and usage information, IP address, browser and device characteristics, operating system, language preferences, referring URLs, and other technical information.

The information we collect includes:

  • Log and Usage Data. IP address, device information, browser type, pages and files viewed, searches, and other actions you take.
  • Device Data. IP address, device and application identification numbers, location, browser type, hardware model, ISP and/or mobile carrier, operating system, and system configuration information.

Google API

Our use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Apple Health (HealthKit) and Health Connect Data

In Short: Health and fitness data from Apple Health (iOS) or Health Connect (Android) is used only to power the in-app Activities feature. It is never used for advertising or marketing, never sold, and never shared with third parties for those purposes.

The Activities feature lets you bring your workouts into GoXtra. When you choose to connect Apple Health (on iOS) or Health Connect (on Android), GoXtra reads the following on your device, only with your explicit permission:

  • Completed workouts — activity type, start and end time, distance, and duration;
  • Active energy burned (calories) and elevation gain associated with a workout;
  • Heart rate recorded during a workout (average and maximum);
  • The GPS route of a workout, when your device recorded one.

We use this information solely to:

  • Display your activities and their statistics to you within the app;
  • Generate the activity summaries and shareable activity cards (wallpapers) that you choose to create;
  • Award in-app achievements based on your activity;
  • Let you save the route of your own activity to My routes and attach it to events you create;
  • Show your activities to other people only as you choose (Private, Buddies or Public) and according to your Map visibility settings;
  • Only if you turn on Let others save my routes (off by default): let members who can already see one of your activities save a simplified copy of its route for their own use. The copy leaves out the areas around the start and finish and contains no times, heart rate or other workout data. This is based on your consent; turning the setting off, or deleting your account, withdraws it and deletes those copies.

Because this can be health data, we process it only with your explicit consent (Article 9(2)(a) GDPR), given when you connect. You can withdraw it at any time by revoking access as described below. This stops new imports; you can delete imported activities in the app or by deleting your account.

Consistent with Apple's requirements and Google's Health Connect permissions policy, we do not use health or fitness data — including any data obtained through the HealthKit API or the Health Connect API — for advertising, marketing, or use-based data mining, and we do not sell it, transfer it to data brokers, or disclose it to third parties for those purposes. We do not use this data to make decisions regarding credit, insurance, or employment. GoXtra only reads from Apple Health and Health Connect; we never write workouts or any other data back to them.

You may revoke GoXtra's access at any time: on iOS in Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → GoXtra, and on Android in Settings → Security & privacy → Health Connect → App permissions → GoXtra (or via the Health Connect app). You can delete any individual activity from within the app.

Map visibility. You choose who can see your synced workouts. In Settings → Privacy & Security → Map visibility you can hide the start and end of your routes, hide routes near an address you choose (for example your home), or hide all your maps. These settings change only the map other people see, not your workout numbers. If you choose an address, we store only an approximate point, not your address, and the size of the area to hide; the place name stays on your phone. Only you can see it, and we use it only for this feature, which we provide at your request (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). Your settings, any saved point and the maps shown to others are deleted when you remove them, delete the workout, or delete your account.

Retention. Activity data imported from Apple Health or Health Connect is retained under your account until you delete the individual activity or delete your account, at which point it is permanently removed in line with the retention rules described in "How Long Do We Keep Your Information?" below.

Garmin Connect Data

In Short: If you connect Garmin Connect, Garmin sends your finished activities to GoXtra after your watch syncs. We use them only for the Activities feature, exactly like workouts from Apple Health or Health Connect, and only with your explicit consent. Garmin data is never used for advertising, never sold and never processed by AI.

You can connect your Garmin Connect account in Settings → Devices & apps → Garmin Connect. You sign in on Garmin's own website and choose there what Garmin may share with us; we never receive your Garmin password. From then on, Garmin sends us each activity your device records, shortly after it syncs. Earlier activities and activities typed into Garmin Connect by hand are not imported, and we do not receive your daily health, sleep, stress or body data.

What we receive for each activity: its summary (for example type, name, start time, duration, distance, pace, calories, heart rate and elevation gain), the readings recorded during it (such as heart rate, speed and elevation), the GPS route when your device recorded one, the Garmin device model (shown next to the activity, as Garmin requires), and an identifier for your Garmin account that we use only to match deliveries to your GoXtra account.

We keep a reduced copy of the readings, without location, to show you charts and laps of your own activity. Only you can see them, even when you share the activity. They are deleted with the activity or your account.

We use Garmin activities for the same purposes, and show them to other people under the same choices (Private, Buddies or Public) and Map visibility settings, as described for Apple Health and Health Connect above. Because this can be health data, we process it only with your explicit consent (Articles 6(1)(a) and 9(2)(a) GDPR), which you give in the app before connecting.

You can withdraw consent at any time by tapping Disconnect in Settings → Devices & apps → Garmin Connect, or by removing GoXtra in your Garmin Connect account; either way deliveries stop and we delete the access credentials Garmin issued to us. Activities already imported stay under your account until you delete them or your account. Each delivery from Garmin is turned into an activity on arrival and the delivery copy is deleted within 7 days at most.

Garmin processes your data as a separate controller under its own privacy notice at garmin.com/privacy/connect. We hold Garmin data in the locations described in "Is Your Information Transferred Internationally?" below. We do not use Garmin data for advertising or marketing, do not sell it or share it with third parties for those purposes, and never use it in any artificial intelligence system, including the AI-assisted tools described in Section 4.

Information Collected from Other Sources

In Short: We do not purchase personal information from data brokers, but we do receive limited data from authentication providers, watch platforms you choose to connect, and our advertising/measurement partners.

We do not obtain personal information from data brokers, joint marketing partners, affiliate programs, or public databases. The only third-party sources from which we receive information about you are:

  • Authentication providers (Apple, Google) — see Section 6 for the limited profile information they share with us.
  • Payment and subscription providers (Apple App Store, Google Play, RevenueCat) — see Payment Data above.
  • Watch platforms you connect (Garmin Connect, operated by Garmin International, Inc. and its affiliates), only after you connect your Garmin account. See Garmin Connect Data above.
  • Advertising and measurement partners on our Website (Meta Pixel and Reddit Pixel, enabled only after you accept cookies) — these provide aggregated campaign measurement information.

2. How Do We Process Your Information?

In Short: We process your information to provide, improve, and administer our Services, communicate with you, for security and fraud prevention, and to comply with law.

We process your personal information for the following purposes. For people in the EU or UK, the table shows the legal basis for each.

PurposeLegal basis (GDPR)
Creating and running your account and profile; events, communities, chat and other features you use; showing your activities; subscriptions; support and service messagesContract (Art. 6(1)(b))
Health and fitness data you connect (Apple Health, Health Connect, Garmin Connect); identity verification selfiesExplicit consent (Art. 6(1)(a) and 9(2)(a))
Location features, ad measurement, optional website cookies, marketing emails and the launch waitlistConsent (Art. 6(1)(a))
Keeping GoXtra safe: preventing fraud and abuse, handling reports and enforcing our Community Guidelines; security; crash reports and product analytics; suggesting people you may knowLegitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f))
Answering lawful requests from authorities; tax and accounting recordsLegal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c))
Protecting someone's life or safety in an emergencyVital interests (Art. 6(1)(d))

3. What Legal Bases Do We Rely On to Process Your Information?

In Short: We only process your personal information when we believe it is necessary and we have a valid legal reason to do so under applicable law.

If you are located in the EU or UK

The GDPR and UK GDPR require us to explain the valid legal bases we rely on. We may rely on the following legal bases:

  • Consent. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
  • Performance of a Contract. We may process your personal information when necessary to fulfill our contractual obligations to you.
  • Legitimate Interests. We may process your information when it is reasonably necessary to achieve our legitimate business interests, such as to analyze how our Services are used, diagnose problems, prevent fraud, and protect platform integrity.
  • Legal Obligations. We may process your information where necessary for compliance with our legal obligations.
  • Vital Interests. We may process your information where necessary to protect your vital interests or those of a third party.

If you are located in Switzerland

Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP), processing of personal data is generally permitted provided it does not unlawfully violate the personality rights of data subjects. We process your information in accordance with the FADP, and we may rely on the following justifications where applicable:

  • Consent. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
  • Performance of a Contract. We may process your personal information when necessary to fulfill our contractual obligations to you.
  • Overriding Interests. We may process your information where we or a third party have an overriding legitimate interest, such as operating, securing, and improving the Services.
  • Legal Obligations. We may process your information where necessary for compliance with applicable Swiss law.

If you are located in Canada

We may process your information if you have given us specific permission (express consent) or in situations where your permission can be inferred (implied consent). You can withdraw your consent at any time. In some exceptional cases, we may be legally permitted to process your information without your consent as outlined by applicable law.

4. When and With Whom Do We Share Your Personal Information?

In Short: We may share information in specific situations and with specific third parties.

We may share your data with third-party vendors, service providers, contractors, or agents ("third parties") who perform services for us or on our behalf. We have contracts in place with our third parties, which are designed to help safeguard your personal information.

The third parties we may share personal information with include:

  • Hosting, database, sign-in, push notifications, app settings and crash reports: Google (Firebase and Google Cloud)
  • Sign-in providers: Apple, Google
  • Maps (mobile app): Mapbox (interactive maps; underlying map data from OpenStreetMap)
  • Place search (mobile app): Geoapify (Geoapify GmbH, Germany; place search and turning a map point into an address or town, using OpenStreetMap data)
  • Invoice and Billing: RevenueCat, Apple App Store, Google Play Store
  • Mobile attribution and ad measurement (mobile app): AppsFlyer (which forwards attribution and aggregated event data to the ad networks we work with, such as Meta)
  • Social Media Sharing and Advertising (Website only, after cookie consent): Meta Pixel, Reddit Pixel
  • Website Analytics: Google Analytics (enabled after website cookie consent)
  • Website Hosting: Cloudflare
  • Account and service emails (mobile app) and launch waitlist emails (website): Amazon Web Services (Amazon SES), from data centres in the EU
  • Contact form processing: EmailJS
  • Website anti-spam protection: Google reCAPTCHA (contact form), Cloudflare Turnstile (waitlist form)
  • AI-assisted support and review tools: Anthropic (Claude API)

AI-Assisted Tools (Anthropic)

We use Anthropic's Claude API as a data processor for two internal tools that assist our team. When you contact support, your support conversation may be processed to draft a suggested reply, which a member of our team always reviews before sending. If you choose photo verification, your verification selfies may be processed to check photo quality only (for example, blur or a covered face); this check does not perform identity or face matching, and our team always makes the verification decision. Anthropic processes this data under a data processing agreement, does not use it to train AI models, and deletes it after a short retention period. We keep only our team's final reply or decision, not the AI output. Data received from Garmin Connect is never sent to these tools.

We also may need to share your personal information in the following situations:

  • Business Transfers. In connection with any merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition.
  • Map and place-search services. Mapbox (maps, using OpenStreetMap data) receives your IP address, the map area you view and, briefly, a location to place your approximate pin. Geoapify (place search, Germany, using OpenStreetMap data, © OpenStreetMap contributors) receives the text you search and the coordinates you look up, not your name or account.
  • Other Users. When you share personal information or otherwise interact with public areas of the Services, such personal information may be viewed by all users. Your exact location is never shown to other users unless you share it yourself (see Section 1). Other users can also see when you are active in the app ("Active now" or when you were last seen). You can hide this at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Show Activity Status; while it is hidden we keep only the day you were last active, which we use for reminders and to rank search results (legitimate interests).
  • People you may know. To help members meet, we may suggest your profile (name, picture, verified or Pro badge, and one reason such as a community you share or a sport you both do) to other members who share your communities or sports, or who live in the same area, and in a "Newest members" list ordered only by join date. We never show your distance or exact location in suggestions, and never suggest people you blocked or who blocked you. We do this under our legitimate interest in helping members connect. You can stop appearing in suggestions and search at any time by turning off Discoverable Profile in Privacy Settings, and you can remove anyone from your own suggestions.
  • Who checked you out (profile views). When you open another member's profile, we record that you visited, when, and how many times, and show it to that member in "Who Checked You Out": Pro members see who visited; other members see how many people visited and a heavily blurred version of each visitor's profile picture, made on our servers so it cannot be turned back into the photo. We may send the member a notification that does not name you, at most once an hour and never at night. We do this under our legitimate interest in helping members connect. Visits are kept for 90 days, then deleted automatically, and are removed straight away if either of you blocks the other or deletes their account. You can stop your visits being recorded at any time by turning on Browse Invisibly in Privacy Settings (free for everyone; for members without Pro, your own profile views are hidden while it is on).

5. Do We Use Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies?

In Short: We may use cookies and other tracking technologies to collect and store your information.

We may use cookies and similar tracking technologies (like web beacons and pixels) to gather information when you interact with our Services. We also permit third parties and service providers to use online tracking technologies on our Services for analytics and advertising.

For website-specific cookie details (including how you can accept or decline non-essential cookies), please review our Cookie Policy. In our mobile app, analytics and diagnostic data may be processed through service providers such as Firebase to operate, secure, and improve app performance.

Google Analytics

On our website, and only after you accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. To opt out of being tracked by Google Analytics, visit https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. For more information on the privacy practices of Google, please visit the Google Privacy & Terms page.

Product and subscription analytics (mobile app)

We record which key features you use in the app (for example signing up, the Pro upgrade screen, creating or joining an event, search, sharing or photo verification), with your GoXtra user ID, platform, app version, the country from your device settings and your main sport, and, if you installed GoXtra from an ad, only the ad network's name. We also count on which days you use the main features (such as messages, buddy requests, events, communities, posts, routes and workouts), using activity we already store to run GoXtra. We keep only the feature and the date, never content or who it was with. No advertising identifiers, IP address or precise location are attached. We use this to understand how GoXtra is used, see where people get stuck and improve the app, never for advertising. Raw events are deleted within 90 days and feature dates within 400 days. We rely on our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). You can object at any time by turning off Settings → Privacy & Security → Help improve GoXtra, or by contacting [email protected].

Crash reports. When the app crashes or hits an error, Firebase Crashlytics (Google) sends us a report with technical details (device model, operating system and app version, what the app was doing) and your GoXtra user ID, so we can fix the problem. We rely on our legitimate interest in keeping the app working (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Turning off Help improve GoXtra also stops crash reports from that device.

Mobile attribution and ad measurement (mobile app)

To measure how new members discover GoXtra and to evaluate the effectiveness of our paid advertising campaigns (for example on Meta), we use AppsFlyer (operated by AppsFlyer Ltd.). AppsFlyer is a "Mobile Measurement Partner" that attributes app installs and key in-app actions to the campaign and channel that drove them.

The data collected through AppsFlyer includes your device's identifiers (the advertising identifier, IDFA on iOS or Android Advertising ID, and on iOS an identifier for our app on your device), your GoXtra user ID, basic device and operating-system characteristics, the campaign and source attributed to your install, and a record of significant in-app actions (account registration, subscription purchase, public community creation, event creation). Subscription events include the purchase amount and currency. We do not send your name, email, profile content, messages, location, photos, or health data to AppsFlyer.

AppsFlyer in turn shares attribution and aggregated event data with the ad networks we work with (such as Meta) so those networks can attribute installs to their own campaigns and optimize ad delivery.

Your choice. AppsFlyer does not start, and nothing is collected or sent, until you tap Allow on our "Help us see which ads work" question in the app. If you tap Don't allow, AppsFlyer is never started on your device and the app works the same. On iOS, Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt is shown only after you allow it; if you then decline that prompt, we treat it as no. You can change your choice at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Ad measurement, which stops AppsFlyer on your device immediately.

Android, Advertising ID. You can also reset or delete your Advertising ID at any time in your device's settings.

Retention. AppsFlyer keeps this data under its own retention policy (currently up to 24 months). You can request access to or deletion of AppsFlyer's record of your device by contacting us at [email protected], and we will forward your request to AppsFlyer.

Legal basis. We rely on your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR, and the consent required for accessing information on your device). You can withdraw it at any time in the app as described above; this does not affect measurement that took place before you withdrew it.

AppsFlyer's own privacy policy is available at https://www.appsflyer.com/legal/services-privacy-policy/. AppsFlyer offers a global device opt-out at https://www.appsflyer.com/optout.

6. How Do We Handle Your Social Logins?

In Short: If you choose to register or log in to our Services using a social account, we receive limited profile information from that provider.

Our Services let you register and sign in using Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google. The information we receive depends on the provider and the permissions you grant:

  • Apple. Your name (only if you choose to share it on first sign-in) and either your real email address or a private relay email address generated by Apple. Apple does not share your contacts or any other personal information with us.
  • Google. Your name, email address, and profile picture.

We do not receive your friends or contacts list from either provider, and we do not post anything to your social account.

We use this information only for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy — primarily to create and authenticate your account. We recommend reviewing the privacy policies of Apple and Google to understand how they handle your personal information.

7. Is Your Information Transferred Internationally?

In Short: Your main data is stored in the European Union. Some processing happens in the United States and other countries, with legal safeguards in place.

Where your data is stored. Our main database (for example your profile, messages and events) and the photos and files you upload are stored in the European Union, in Google Cloud data centres in EU multi-region locations.

Processing outside the EU. Some processing takes place outside the EU. Our server functions, which handle your data while carrying out actions in the app, currently run in Google Cloud data centres in the United States and, for some features, in the European Union. Some Google services we rely on (such as sign-in, push notifications and crash reporting) are global services that may process data in the United States. Some of the other service providers listed in section 4 are based in, or process data in, the United States or other countries.

If you are a resident in the EEA or UK, we protect transfers to the United States by relying on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (and its UK Extension) where the recipient is certified under it, and otherwise on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or other safeguards approved under the GDPR. If you are a resident in Switzerland, we rely on the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner's (FDPIC) recognized transfer mechanisms, including Swiss-adapted Standard Contractual Clauses, to safeguard your personal information. Copies of the applicable contractual clauses can be provided upon request.

8. How Long Do We Keep Your Information?

In Short: We keep your information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy unless otherwise required by law.

We will only keep your personal information for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy, or for as long as we have a legitimate business, security, or legal reason to do so.

When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either delete or anonymize such information, or securely store it and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible. To protect against data loss, we keep backups of our database for up to 12 weeks; they are used only to recover from errors, and deleted information disappears from them as they expire.

Accounts that are never finished are deleted after at most 90 days without use; where we have a confirmed email address, we send one reminder first. You can sign up again at any time.

If we ban an account, we keep a coded (hashed) version of its email address, phone number and sign-in identifiers for up to 3 years, so the same person cannot open a new account. This is based on our legitimate interest in keeping GoXtra safe (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR), and we keep it even if the banned account is deleted.

If a community admin removes one of your posts, we keep a record of the removal (the community, the post's text, who removed it and when) for up to 180 days, on the basis of legitimate interests (so the removal can be reviewed if you ask us), and then delete it automatically.

Identity verification selfies (biometric data) are deleted within 30 days of the verification decision; we keep only the outcome, which contains no biometric data. You can ask for earlier deletion at any time.

When you delete your account, some content you previously shared with other users (for example, messages already delivered in chats) may remain visible to those recipients as part of their conversation history, unless deletion is required by law or technically removed in that context.

9. How Do We Keep Your Information Safe?

In Short: We aim to protect your personal information through a system of organizational and technical security measures.

We have implemented appropriate and reasonable technical and organizational security measures designed to protect the security of any personal information we process, including encryption of your data in transit and at rest. However, despite our safeguards, no electronic transmission over the Internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. You should only access the Services within a secure environment.

10. Do We Collect Information from Minors?

In Short: We do not knowingly collect data from or market to children under 18 years of age.

We do not knowingly collect, solicit data from, or market to children under 18 years of age, nor do we knowingly sell such personal information. By using the Services, you represent that you are at least 18. If you become aware of any data we may have collected from children under age 18, please contact us at [email protected].

11. What Are Your Privacy Rights?

In Short: Depending on your state of residence in the US or in some regions, such as the EEA, UK, Switzerland, and Canada, you have rights that allow you greater access to and control over your personal information.

In some regions (like the EEA, UK, Switzerland, and Canada), you have certain rights under applicable data protection laws. These may include the right to:

  • Request access and obtain a copy of your personal information
  • Request rectification or erasure
  • Restrict the processing of your personal information
  • Data portability (if applicable)

12. Controls for Do-Not-Track Features

California law requires us to let you know how we respond to web browser DNT signals. Because there currently is not an industry or legal standard for recognizing or honoring DNT signals, we do not respond to them at this time.

How long we keep each category is described in Section 8.

We do not sell personal information. We may share certain personal information (such as online identifiers and internet activity data) with third parties for purposes that may be considered "sharing" under the CCPA/CPRA. On our Website this happens through advertising measurement technologies like Meta Pixel and Reddit Pixel, which are enabled only after you accept cookies. In our mobile app this happens through AppsFlyer, our mobile attribution partner, which shares your device's identifiers and a record of significant in-app actions with the ad networks we work with (such as Meta) so those networks can measure their campaigns. This only happens if you allow ad measurement in the app, and you can turn it off at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Ad measurement.

Where we process sensitive personal information (such as precise geolocation, health and fitness data from Apple Health, Health Connect or Garmin Connect, or facial images from optional identity-verification selfies), we use it only for permitted purposes such as providing requested features, maintaining account security, and operating the Services, and not to infer characteristics about you. We never use health or fitness data for advertising, marketing, or use-based data mining.
